This is not merely another marriage ministry!
What is the condition of marriage in your church? If your church is average,
the divorce rate is similar to those outside the church. Well known family
ministries are still claiming that Christian marriages have a 5 times better
chance to succeed than those outside the faith but statistics now show that
this is not true. Many of our marriages are marriages in name only for the
sake of the children and because of their “Christian commitment”.
A 16 year old recently told me that he was not going
to get married. The reason? His father divorced his first wife, the boy’s
mother, remarried a girl in the church and that now has failed. What is the
use and why cause so much misery? According to Henry, young people have now
accepted the idea that marriage is a thing of the past. Even traditional sex
between young people has been replaced with oral sex so as not to cause
babies and have the consequence of family. In our
ministry,
we have found that our singles still want to believe in a single marriage
for life but in truth, believe that it is not possible anymore. This is the
growing legacy of Christian marriage around the world. This is why
marriagePlus Ministries was formed; To recapture successful marriage and
true intimacy in this generation. We are accomplishing our goal through
straight talk and scholarly application of the Word of God. We offer
counseling, teaching seminars, and help in establishing meaningful marriage
ministries within the church and outside the church.
